Cody Yipeng Rong is an electronic musician from Shanghai, China, where he developed his skills as a classically trained pianist, self-taught electronic music composer, and band performer.

Cody is currently a third-year electronic music major at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, United States. Throughout his college studies, he has been primarily focused on composing electronic and electronic-pop music. In the past year, Cody has expanded his artistic repertoire to include film music.

His fascination with audio-visual art is driven by the subtle, yet powerful, interactions between auditory and visual elements. Over the past year, Cody has participated in the Indie Film Music Contest. He has been the finalist position twice and was once the second-place winner.

Additionally, Cody's exploration of film music has led to collaborative projects with student filmmakers, working on short films that have provided him with a platform to blend his electronic music background with cinematic narratives.
