For nearly 20 years, music has taken me on a global adventure. I conduct, compose, arrange, teach and work with student groups on everything from orchestras to plays and student productions. As an International Baccalaureate Educator, I help students develop their musical toolbox by playing, creating, and appreciating the art form of Music. Sometimes we create unique compositions for local ensembles, and other times we compose electronic tracks with hardware synths and software plugins. Much of my work is centred around imaginative play: using singing and body percussion to then engage with software for recording.

My passion for music technology fuels my writing and professional learning. I've authored textbooks, and articles, I have worked with guest artists, plus I have made resources that explore the powerful connection between music and image. In today's multimedia-rich world, I empower students to create the music they love and launch themselves into the industry. This means diving into different genres, from electronica to orchestral pieces, and then writing about that process so that the educators and musicians who I connect with can learn also. This has been a large part of my year, connecting and collaborating with educators globally.
