Hello everyone, my name is Tímea Siquet, currently based in Salzburg, Austria.

Since I accidentally came into contact with opera music as a child, I knew that this was my thing. Still too young for professional singing education, I started by learning classical piano and became a guest student at the “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin.

Finally, at 16, I began studying classical singing at the Bartók Conservatory in Budapest. During the four years I spent there, I came into contact with composition projects more and more frequently and began to enjoy making my own music instead of just interpreting the work of others.

After a year at the Musicube academy, I started studying composition for film, games and media at JAM Lab University in Vienna, focusing more on contemporary music. So far, I have scored a few short films, a short documentary, and an Indian commercial. I recently also wrote and arranged a piece for a big band that got streamed this May.

For the time being I am experimenting a lot, including exploring on how to integrate voice in an out of the box way into film music, as voice has a very organic and subtle way to convey emotions. Not only do I compose my pieces, but I also have experience in recording and producing them. One of these experiments earned me a third place in my first contest for scoring to picture.

Besides music, I also have a passion for poetry.
