Welcome to the GEMS YOUNG COMPOSERS GAME SCORING SUMMER PROGRAM. For the past 8 years GEMS has provided music programs for 200+ international students from over 40 countries. Our teaching faculty are all professional composers who also teach in colleges and universities around the world including USC, where 1-2 GEMS students are accepted on to the Masters Program each year. GEMS now welcomes you to your schools BESPOKE intensive 5 day GEMS video game scoring summer program. The GEMS Young Composers 5 day school summer program allows students to present evidence of achievement in additional areas of study for academic consideration, portfolio content for college and university applications, work placements or employment. If you are aiming to start a career in music or study a music degree then this program is for you. Let’s get started and show you what to expect and see where your summer program takes you.

will be your lead tutor on the GEMS Schools Summer
Program.
A world class composer, educator and trainer
specialising in video game composition Juanjo will be
working with you all week on the summer program teaching
Video Game scoring techniques, Music Technology
for Video Game.
Plus score and parts orchestration classes to help
prepare your music ready to record with Juanjo in the
recording studio where he will conduct your composition.

Once registered, you will be sent a video of the Warner Bros. Shadow of War video game trailer to score for your summer program recording, or compose a separate piece to record.
ACCOMMODATION
A superb Halls of Residence accommodation is available for students to stay together. livensaliving
(Available for groups of 10 students.)
STUDENT SUPERVISORS
Male and female student supervisors are available to create a safe and friendly environment while students are away from home. (Available for groups of 10 students.)
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Airport transfers from Valencia are available to pick up and return student groups. (Available for groups of 10 students.)
MEALS
Breakfast and lunch is available daily during the Summer Program.

THE SCHEDULE
The program schedule is a mix of core classes and electives with morning and afternoon classes with guest talks in the early evening, with recording on the final day.
WELCOME PACK
Every student gets an amazing welcome pack full of goodies including composers scores, magazines and the iconic GEMS red T-Shirt.
FINAL
Students receive certificates, videos, photos, music, and great memories!
INFORMATION FOR SCHOOLS
Programs tuition fees and content are based on a minimum required number of students. They are each founded on an intensive mix of set and elective classe, each program offers advanced options such, as live recording, Gala Concert, studying with in person award winning composers.
Participating schools who meet the required student number quota, can pre select all classes to focus on their preferred areas of study to suit their students needs. A school may also request a theme for the summer program that covers a specific genre such as video game scoring, where the entire summer program is a bespoke set of intensive classes covering that genre lead in person by an award winning composer from that same genre. Expect 7 hours of teaching per day, providing a comprehensive and immersive experience.

A 25€ Bank Payment Transfer Charges is included to cover the PayPal, Credit Card or Bank Transfer fee charges which are not covered in your tuition fee. If your Transfer Charge is higher than 25€ the final amount is payable upon arrival. If your Transfer Charge is lower than 25€ you will receive a refund for the amount over the Transfer Charge upon arrival.
School students joining individually, via a parent or guardian, must include their school name during registration. For group bookings made directly by the school, please contact us directly for our bank details.
